S"Ergo shoulder assist

Effective control measures that reduce the risk for work related injury incorporate ergonomic features in the physical environment. The Shoulder Assist device was invented by California physicians Dr. William Griffin and Dr. Ralph Delgado to address the needs of their own staff when they saw the level of injury they were suffering. The S'Ergo Shoulder Assist is a collaborative effort between Dr Griffin, Dr Delgado and Sound Ergonomics. It has taken more than 3 years to refine the design and today we have a device that will not only help sonographers but aid in the prevention of shoulder injuries across many diverse industries. The S'Ergo Shoulder assist is safe, lightweight easy to use and mobile. It can be used by anyone, there are no controls to adjust, doesn't interfere with machines and allows a full range of motion.

Finally there is a safe effective way to support the shoulder during difficult prolonged periods of arm abduction.

Capisco Scanning Chair helps sonographer!

Dear Sound Ergonomics,

I am a sonographer with 25 years experience and have been working exclusively in perinatalogy for the last 13 years. I have thoracic scoliosis and have had chronic neck and back pain from scanning for the last 20 years. I saw the chiropractor every month and at one point even had to have physical therapy.

I purchased my Sound Ergonomics ultrasound scanning chair in March 2008 at the AIUM convention in San Diego. I have not visited the chiropractor since then. My neck and back pain is vastly improved. This is the best investment I have ever made. Most sonographers will spend decades scanning every day for 8 hours in pain. Purchasing the chair is a small investment when you consider your physical health.I switched jobs last year and had no trouble placing the chair in my car and bringing it to my new job. It looks as good as it did when I purchased it. I tell every sonographer I know how important my chair is to me and recommend it to everyone.
Good luck with your company
